 What is National Rugby League (NRL)?

The national rugby league is a professional rugby league in Australasia that contains clubs from different parts of Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Australian Capital Territory and also New Zealand. It originated from the New South Wales Rugby League that formed in 1908. 

The NRL (National Rugby League) consists of currently 17 teams: 

1. BRISBANE, Broncos

2. PENRITH, Panthers

3. NEW ZEALAND, Warriors 

4. MELBOURNE, Storms

5. CRONULLA, Sharks

6. NEW CASTLE, Knights

7. CANBERRA, Raiders

8. SOUTH SYDNEY, Rabbitohs 

9. PARAMATTA, Eels

10. SYDNEY, Roosters

11. WARRINGAH, Manly Sea Eagles

12. WEST, Tigers

13. ST. GEORGE ILLAWARA, Dragons

14. NORTH QUEENSLAND, Cowboys

15. CANTEBURY, Bulldogs

16. GOLD COAST, Titans 

17. RED HILL, Dolphins




For people who don't watch rugby league, a wooden spoon is received from being the bottom team of the NRL live ladder that tally's wins, loses, points differences, ties and number of games played. Being the bottom of the ladder is due to points being lost due to the teams many loses.

In National Rugby league there are 27 rounds. Different teams play against each other to try to make it into the top eight. The top eight teams move into the finals of the game whilst the rest of the teams are dropped and have ended their season. Then the top eight teams play finals and the two teams that win the preliminary finals play each other in the grand final. The winner of the match is then declared the year's premiership team.

  Broncos As a child growing up, one of my biggest interests was NRL Rugby and the team that stood out the most, to me, was the BRISBANE BRONCOS. Broncos going to train The Broncos didn't have a good year, last year. But this year, we're currently second. I always supported Broncos, even in there bad year. Broncos even helps me.
